Good Hygene

Today, TUESDAY, June 10, 2014, Henry pulled out a plastic knife and asked if he could help cut a slice of cheese.  I asked him if he had washed his hands.  He assured me he had.  I did not recall him doing this in the last 5 hours, so I asked him when.  He responds "Saturday!"

(Unrelated photo but look how grown up he's getting!  He fell asleep looking at the Bob the Builder flyer for the Children's Museum.)

3 Month Clara

June 6th

You are a happy baby.  So sweet!  If you are fussy, there is a reason and even when there is a reason, you do not always fuss.  I love holding you while you sleep.  You will only be little for a little while.  I have to get all of the baby kisses I can before you grow up.

You are teeny!  People are surprised you're 3 months.

You love your brother and he loves you back.  You both think the other is pretty neat.

You like to tuck your head into my neck to sleep.

You do not care for shopping if you have to be in your car seat.  You would much rather be held.

Your big grin is adorable.

You have started chatting with us regularly.

Your stink eye is getting pretty good.

Other Blessing Day Photos

I really do not care for the post blessing family photos that we got, but here they are.  There are also some pictures we got of Clara right before we changed her clothes. There are some sweet smiles of little Clara.

Blessing Day

Emily was able to take pictures of Clara in her blessing dress, that happens to be my blessing dress that my Great Grandma Gardner bought for me.  Sweet baby in a sweet dress from her Great-great Grandma.

Chelsie and Mike

In April, we were able to travel to Oregon for Chelsie and Mikes wedding.  It was great to be able to go see Chelsie and Mike get married. We didn't take many any pictures of wedding festivities but because Emily is so good at picture taking and we were busy learning how to drag two kids around with us while keeping them both dry, warm and healthy.  It was raining more than the Oregon drizzle after the temple.  It made for some very wet people, but some fun pictures.  If you look really close, you might see Nate, Henry, Clara and I up the steps behind Chelsie and to the right.  Right after this picture we hurried back to the car to get Clara and Henry warm and dry.  That night they had a reception in Eugene.  It cleared up and we were able to take more group pictures.  I don't have any of those, but here are a few of the ones that I do have.

The Great Flood

Days after Clara got out of the hospital, we had a bit of a flood.  We woke up to a more than soggy family room, laundry room and bathroom.  Everything dried out nicely and no permanent damage was done, but we still haven't secured our carpet back to the floor.  I would LOVE to just replace the carpet with something nicer but haven't been able to justify it yet.  In the mean time, the carpet is being held in place by furniture.  (And MAYBE a strip of duct tape.  Ghetto!!)

"Guys!  We have a problem!"

Hospital Clara

At 4 weeks old, Clara ended up in the hospital with a cold that turned into bronchiolitis.  Now Henry and Clara have matching pictures.  Poor babies.
