We partied it up big time for New Years Eve. We went to Grandma's and celebrated with yummy food, some games and fireworks. We got home about 7 and put Clara to bed. We told Henry he could camp out under the Christmas tree and stay up as late as he wanted. He probably made it 'til 10:30 but he fought a good fight and had fun camping out. We moved him up to his bed before we went to bed and he was disappointed when he woke up in his room.
New Years Day started EARLY with Clara waking up prematurely. She fell back asleep just as soon as I was good and awake and questioning why I wasn't already up and cleaning or doing something productive. I finally fell asleep myself in time for Henry to wake up. Luckily, I have an amazing husband that took Henry down and initiated a Star Wars marathon so that I could sleep! I slept until almost 9 (NINE!!!). Totally made my day! The rest of the day was kind of lazy. We took Grandpa on our traditional trip to Cracker Barrel for greens and black eyed peas. Add in some driving to get out of the house and more Star Wars, we had a pretty good day. Who knows what this year will bring, but we had a pretty nice first day of it!
