June in Review

I do not remember much of the beginning of June.  I remember it was busy.  Push you to the point of nearly burnt out busy, but that's it.  I do know we purchased a new camera.  Our phones are not sufficient cameras so we bought a real one.  This is the second picture we took with the camera.  Henry and a truck.  That was our summer.  Henry and trucks.

The end of the month we headed on vacation to Oregon.  We drove to Idaho, flew from there to Portland and after fun in Oregon, we drove back to Idaho with my parents.  Henry was pretty excited to fly.  He thought the whole adventure was pretty fun!

Antelope Island and Hill AFB Museum

Sometime in May or June we took a family fun day to the northern end of the Wasatch Front.  We visited the airplane museum at Hill Air Force Base then drove around Antelope island.  It was the perfect time for the trip.  It was the perfect weather to visit.  Just warm enough that you want to get out of the car but not so hot that you think you are going to perish in the vast wilderness that is surrounded by undrinkable water.

Random pictures that I love

From some time in April...?  Maybe May?  or June?

Why you shouldn't jump on the couch.

I replaced that all by myself.

Dozer Henry scooted Ruby all of the way across the kitchen floor.

I just love this picture.  Shirt.  Underwear.  Froggy boots.

Sick but cute Henry.

I do not know when this picture was taken, but it was after Mother's Day because those flowers are hanging there.  But this is a very spring/summery Henry picture.

Easter

This year we dyed eggs with Rubye and Emily.  Emily and I did tie dyed eggs where you wrap a silk tie around an egg and boil them.  The pattern transfers to the egg.

Henry had fun hunting Easter eggs this year.

The other reason I haven't been into blogging this year

We are having a baby!!  She is due March 15.  (Beware the ides of March!)

That is the other reason I haven't blogged in a while.  If the computer was working, the light from my monitor made my stomach turn.  I preserved my tolerance of computer lighting for work and paying bills.

Now I can keep food down and I am hungry all of the time!  I feel as though my chin is growing as fast as my stomach.  I am getting to be as big as the side of a barn and I still have SEVERAL weeks to go.  Months, even.  The first 3 months I couldn't eat fruits and veggies.  Chicken nuggets and Taco Bell bean burritos (no onions) were my best friend.  Now I want nothing but fruit (and cream cheese and frequently pepperoni).  Too bad most fruit is out of season.  I've ended up snacking on more bad for me things at work or giving into the cream cheese and pepperoni cravings.  Not good!

We are all excited about our little girl coming to join us.  Henry is excited.  He was convinced he was getting a sister from the beginning.  I think he thinks all babies are "grirls".  Almost every morning he climbs in bed with me and says "Mama.  Let's talk about sumpin'.  What kind of baby my gonna have?  A fruit baby?  A ball baby?  A __(whatever goofy is on his mind)__ baby?"

Technical Difficulties

Soon is a long time.

(September)

This has been a rough year for blogging for me.  Two of my biggest problems have been technical issues.  It started with our camera breaking.  And our computer breaking.  And our computer breaking again.  I still do not know how you kill a hard drive in just over 90 days.  (The warranty was only 90 days.)  I am finally getting all of the pictures from our borrowed camera as well as our new camera.

Now that cameras and computer are functioning all at the same time (Maybe I shouldn't say that out loud.  Wouldn't want to jinx myself.), bills and all other computer related activities are caught up, and I feel like I have a moment to transfer pictures and post a few them, I will.

(Present day)

Wanting to get all of the posts in chronological order, I have been working on catch up posts and hope to post one a day(ish) for at least a week.  I am excited that when I go to make this years Butterfield family journal, there will actually be something to read!
